Karin Elgai began her career in styling in early 2006 by assisting the script supervisor of an Israeli TV show shot in Tel Aviv, an experience that helped to cultivate both her passion for wardrobe as well as her attention to details. Upon relocating to New York City in 2008, she enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Styling Program. Her teachers soon took notice of her talent and recommended her for productions such as “The Electric Company” on PBS (where she was an assistant to the wardrobe department) and the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week (for which she continued to work for five consecutive seasons). Two years spent styling and assisting on various editorials, campaign shoots, music videos and a web series allowed Karin to develop a wide range of skills from character development to wardrobe coordination, as well as a determined work ethic that she continues to bring the every project she takes on.
